A new pharmaceutical plant will appear in Belarus. Today in Minsk, a capsule at the site of future production facility was laid. The investment project will be implemented with the participation of Indian partners.
The future company plans to produce drugs that can help in the treatment of HIV, hepatitis B and cancer. The products are included in the state program of import substitution: as of today, these drugs are not produced in Belarus. The complex will be built on an area of about five hectares. The production process will meet all international standards.
Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
Today it is net import. For one treatment session the cost is several thousand U.S. dollars. Even those drugs that today are Indian or will be made in India are 5-7 times cheaper. That is, the availability is increasing; this drug has quite a high value added.
Kanwaljit Singh, representative of the Indian side of the project:
You have very good and well-developed pharmaceutical industry, large factories When we start production of any pharmaceutical products, we need highly qualified employees. In Minsk, this is not a problem. Therefore, we feel very comfortable.
