Updated helicopters Mi-8 to come into service in Belarusian army

Updated helicopters Mi-8 will enter the service of the Belarusian army.

The first six helicopters will be used in September.

Modernization remains one of the main priorities of the country’s Air Defense Forces. On the 21st of August, the Air Defense Forces of Belarus celebrate their professional holiday. On that day, the ceremony of laying wreath and flowers to the Victory monument took place in Minsk. People paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and those who protect peaceful sky.

Oleg Dvigalev, Major General of the Air Defense Forces of Belarus:
We continue to purchase jet trainers Yak-130, and we already mastered them. Our pilots were able to land a jet aircraft Su-25 at night for the first time, which proves that Belarusian pilots are capable of performing any tasks.

The Belarusian Air Forces are constantly on duty.

Our pilots perform more than a thousand flights annually.
