Alina Talay advances to women's 100m hurdles semifinal in Rio

The Belarusian star runner Alina Talay has qualified for the semifinal in the women's 100m hurdles.

Alina confidently advanced to the semifinals, finishing second in his preliminary race with a time of 12.74 seconds. Another representative of Belarus in this discipline - Ekaterina Poplavskaja - clocked with the seventh best result (13.45 sec.) and was unable to get into the semi-final stage.

The only Belarusian pole vaulter Irina Yakoltsevich did not put up a good enough performance jumping only 4.15m in her best attempt. To get to the best 12 she had to jump at least 4 meters 65 cm.
