Belarusian military confirm status at II International Army Games

The Belarusian military's high status was once again confirmed at the II International Army Games. Teams from 19 countries competed in Russia and Kazakhstan. Belarusian pilots in the so-called "combat use" not just won but shocked rivals with their skills. Even the leaders of the overall standings – Russians – on their own training ground were unable to oppose the Mi-8 from Machulishchy.

Denis Avdeev, pilot-navigator of the helicopter squadron, 50th mixed airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
All the shells and missiles reached their goals. The Russians were shocked.

Andrei Lukyanovich, commander of the 50th mixed airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
Russia and Kazakhstan crews were on the new helicopters (2015, 2016), our helicopters date back to 1988 (do not know whether we should mention it).

When crews began to look closely at the route on the firing range in Russia Belarusian aviators understood very quickly that they will not solve all the tasks without what is called "wisdom of generations". Their map was old, while modern conditions require completely different approaches. In this case, Internet and savvy helped out. The map was downloaded from the World Wide Web.

Denis Avdeev, pilot-navigator of the helicopter squadron, 50th mixed airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
We made the right scale, printed the sheets and glued them. We got the same map but in real time. Using this grid we pointed our goals and calculated coordinates. Plus or minus 20 meters. We showed a good result.

Evgeny Petrov, avionics technician, 50th mixed airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
It all depended on the coherence of the whole team, regardless of whether this is a flight crew or an engineering one. Everything depended on each team member. If everyone works properly, we get the appropriate results.

Belarusian aviation school was created back in the times of the Afghan war.

Denis Avdeev, pilot-navigator of the helicopter squadron, 50th mixed airbase of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
I think it's all thanks to our instructors of the aviation unit. Thanks to the same instructors who taught us at the Academy. And plus the knowledge that we got from the Military Academy. But above all, I would like to point out instructors. They do amazing work!
