Runner Alina Talay upbeat ahead of Rio Olympics

Eminent Belarusian athlete Alina Talay will depart for Rio in just one day. In the meantime, our runner held her last training session ahead of Rio in Belarus.

The Belarusian last season more than once forced the international press and opponents to talk about herself with respect. Now she has to confirm her class, because the Olympic games is a kind of exam.

Alina Talay, bronze medalist of world championship, participant of Olympic Games 2016:
The mood is excellent. I'm looking forward to running on the track in Rio. And I want all our fans to watch our performances and feel a bit of our emotions.

The Belarus judo team at the Rio Olympics will consist only of two athletes. Representing our country at the major competition in Brazil will be Dmitry Shershen and Daria Skrypnik - silver medalist at the 2015 world championship. They also held the final training session.

Daria Skrypnik, World Championship silver medalist, participant of Olympic Games 2016:
This is my cherished dream. I wish luck to every Belarusian who will compete at the Rio Olympics, I wish them medals and I would like to win one myself!
