The Armed Forces of the Belarusian national team are taking part in the 40th CISM World Military Parachuting Championship. The competition has gathered teams from dozens of countries. Belarusians' competitors are eminent sportsmen from European and Arab countries, as well as from China and the CIS.

The competition is taking place at the Kubinka airfield near Moscow, with about 400 parachutists performing.

The military personnel are competing in aerial acrobatics and landing accuracy. The winners will be determined in both team and individual championships.

Vladislav Stepanyuk, Deputy Commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces, Belarus:
We will try to show our best sides. In general, we are 99% ready. Only the weather can prevent us from winning.

Now it is windy in the Moscow region. This weather is not conducive when it comes to accuracy landing competition. At the same time, the Belarusian team is in top positions in the overall standings. The championship winners will be announced in a week. The competition will continue until July 28.
