Alex Gross was the winner of the International Pop Song Performers Contest Vitebsk 2016 which is part of the Slavonic Bazaar 2016 festival.
The Belarusian sang the famous song by Bon Jovi "It's my life", for which he received 77 points, and the final total of 157 points in two days allowed him to top the ranking.
Explaining the extravagant choice of Robbie Williams-style costume he noted "like the famous British singer I also have something to show."
Kazakhstan's Adam, who got even more points - 78, proved to be more self-critical and admitted that not everything went well during his interpretation of the song "I'm not the only one". "At morning rehearsals I did better, there was no such excitement. Right before my turn, I could not calm down," said Adam.
Also, Adam admitted that he fell in love with Minsk and Vitebsk, where he walked a lot: "It's something different here. And people are kind and responsive. I learned from them a kind of spirituality and I am returning to Kazakhstan as new man, with new enthusiasm for new achievements. Honestly, I got a lot of pleasure."
The award ceremony will take place tonight at the closing ceremony of the 25th International Art Festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk". Then we will know whether Alex Gross will receive the Grand Prix and the special prize "Lira".
