Two Belarusian football clubs enter Europa League 2nd qualifying round

Two Belarusian clubs have entered the second qualifying round of the 2016/17 Europa League.

FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk have entered the second qualifying round of Europa League. In the return game at the Stroitel Stadium in Soligorsk, FC Shakhtyor crushed Faroe Islands’ Runavík 5-0. The first leg was also won by the Soligorsk club 2-0.

Shakhtyor will take on Slovenia’s Domžale, who overpowered Andorra’s Lusitans 3-1 (at home) and 2-1 (away).

Another Belarusian club FC Dinamo Minsk ousted Spartaks Jūrmala 2-1 at home and then were stronger than their opponents in the return leg away 2-0.

The next opponent of FC Dinamo Minsk will be St Patrick's, who ousted Ireland’s Jeunesse Esch 1-0 (at home) and 1-2 (away).

The holders of the Belarus Cup FC Torpedo Zhodino will start from the second qualifying round of the Europa League with matches against Hungary’s Debreceni VSC, who confidently beat La Fiorita of Malta 5-0 away and 2-0 at home in qualifying round 1.

Matches of the second round of Europa League will take place on July 14 and 21.
