Vladimir Makei presents Belarus' approaches to dialogue with EU in Riga

The close friendship of Minsk is associated not only with Vilnius, but also with Riga.

On July 7, talks between the foreign minister of Belarus and the president of that Baltic republic were held in the Latvian capital.

During the meeting, Vladimir Makei reiterated the readiness of Belarus to strengthen the bilateral relations. He presented the approaches of the Belarusian side to the development of the dialogue with the European Union.

In turn, president Raimonds Vējonis also emphasized Latvia's interest in the further development of good neighborly relations and voiced intention to bring political contacts to a higher level.

During the visit, Vladimir Makei and held talks with his Latvian counterpart. Special attention was paid by the foreign ministers to the development of mutual trade. There are reserves for growth in this field.
