Belarusians in Paris wish countrymen happy Independence Day

Belarusian motifs sounded in the heart of the French capital on the eve of Belarus Independence Day. Representatives of Belarusian diaspora together with French gathered near the Eiffel Tower to sing the state anthem of Belarus, accompanied by an ensemble of folk music, dance and song.

Participating in the campaign were also about 30 French students. They studied theater art in Belarus. Some of them came especially from Canada and Tunisia.

The Belarusian embassy these days is offering the exhibition Heritage of Belarus with images of the main monuments of culture.

Pavel Latushko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in France with concurrent accreditation in the Kingdom of Spain and the Portuguese Republic:
The campaign "sing together the national anthem of Belarus in France" aims first and foremost to tell the French, Parisians and guests of the French capital more about our country. The second aim is to unite Belarusians living here and all the friends of Belarus - the French. And third, we want to emphasize that in these days, when the whole of Belarus is celebrating Independence Day, we also celebrate together with our dear and beloved Belarus.
