Oleg Rummo: Young medical staff in Belarus is promising

The All-Belarusian People's Assembly will start in Minsk tomorrow on June 22. Minsk will be represented by 400 delegates at this forum. They are representatives of different walks of life: teachers, doctors, members, managers, security officers and scientists.

The name Oleg Rummo is inextricably linked to medicine and transplantation. He is widely known outside Belarus. The successful surgeon had more than one hundred complex operations on transplantation of internal organs and saved thousands of lives. Today, he is professor of medical science and is engaged in administrative work heading the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Transplantation of Organs and Tissues.  He still performs two surgeries per week selecting the most difficult cases.

This will be the second time Oleg Rummo has taken part in the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. According to him, Minsk's medicine during the previous five years has made a significant breakthrough in transplantation.

Oleg Rummo, director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Organ and Tissue Transplantation:
The country is growing a generation of very talented, very promising medical personnel, who are integrated into the global medical community. I would like them to have enough perseverance and would like us to have enough patience to support them where necessary.
