French princess Tania de Bourbon Parme visits Belarus

A representative of the Bourbon dynasty, which ruled in France and Spain, has visited Belarus for the first time. The royal princess named Tanya went to Mir Castle, which was once home to Radziwill Family.

Tania de Bourbon Parme, Princess, founder and head of the association L’Art Autrement Dit, promoting French art to foreigners:
I was immediately struck with the scale of Minsk compared with Paris, which is small and compact. In terms of architecture, I can feel the scale of thought here.

Louis I, Jean II and further, the Medici house, the dukes of Orleans and Burgundy are all relatives of this woman! Kings from almost all over Europe have a lot of lines: they ruled for 15 centuries. Some in Spain and some in Italy.

Tatiana is a direct descendant of King Louis XIV and the 13th granddaughter of Queen Margaret of Denmark.

The princess visited Mir Castle where noble families of Eastern Europe once lived.

Tania de Bourbon Parme, Princess, founder and head of the association L’Art Autrement Dit, promoting French art to foreigners:
In France we have a dish similar to your potato pancakes.  But in Belarus it is prepared a bit differently. I generally like potatoes, this is a noble vegetable. And I love tasting different dishes from it. I loved the pancakes.

The princess promised to learn the recipe of the Belarusian dish and try to cook it with her personal chef in the castle in Normandy, where she lives with her family.

Tanya Bourbon-Parme is the founder and head of an association for the promotion of art in the world of business. And the main reason for her visit to Belarus is the Belarusian-French vernissage under the roof of Mir Castle. Here, 15 images by the master of fine embroidery and silk from France Denis Durand were presented.

Denis says that if France was ruled by the Bourbons, then Tatiana would be the queen, and he would become the main couturier.

Pavel Latushko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the French Republic:
Tatiana de Bourbon Parme is the direct heir of the royal family. Of course, the royal family does not rule in France, it is now the republic and there are civil authorities there. But it's still an honor. I think it's interesting, very interesting. I think that this factor, too, will draw attention to this project.

The visit of the French Princess to Belarus lasted one full day. Of course, this time is not at all enough to learn much about the country. But the high guest has told us what she would take home from Belarus.

Tania de Bourbon Parme, Princess, founder and head of the Association for the promotion of art in the world of business (France):
I will take with me black bread. And, of course, a lot of smiles I was presented here and the desire to come back here again.
