In the opening match of the first phase coach Anatoly Buyalsky's Belarus beat Nigeria 71:60. After that, the African basketball players defeated South Korea 70:69. As a result, all the teams scored 3 points, but it was Belarus and Korea Republic who eventually took first and second places to get into the final.

Belarusians will meet in the quarterfinals against the second-placed team of Group D.  Judging by the situation in that group, you can assume that China will be second, while Spain first.

Two best teams from each section qualify to the quarterfinal stage, which matches will take place on 17 June. Winners of the quarterfinals will have the right to take part in the 2016 Olympics, while the quarterfinal losers will play a mini-tournament on June 18-19 to get the last ticket to Rio 2016.
