Northern Ireland beat Belarus 3-0 in friendly

In the first of the May friendly matches the national football team of Belarus lost to Northern Ireland.

Already in the 6th minute, Lafferty opened the scoring taking advantage of the misunderstanding between Belarusian defenders.

At the end of the first half, Washington doubled the lead, thanks to his agile playing in the penalty area.

Nikolai Yanush made an attempt to reduce the gap in the middle of the first half but his shot after a corner kick went wide. He also tried his best at the start of the second half, but with the same efficiency.

Substitute Alexander Hleb was active during the few minutes on the pitch but after dribbling past two Northern Ireland players he was neutralized by the goalie who rushed forward.

Northern Ireland then made it 3:0 after Will Grigg’s accurate shot.
