Belarus is CIS' leader in the ranking of countries that are the most favorable for motherhood. In the world, Belarus is 25th on this indicator among 179 countries in the world.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, today 1.2 million families in Belarus are raising children who are younger than 18. They receive government support.
Caring for the future socio-economic and demographic situation in the country is a priority. Much is being done in Belarus to raise the significance of traditional family values. Birth rate is going up in Belarus, while more than 80,000 families have more than two children.
