Age rating system for films and programs to be introduced in Belarus

The Public Board for Children Protection against Harmful Content is to be created in Belarus. Such a bill was approved on April 21 by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. The authorities took into consideration the experience of Russia, the USA, and the Netherlands during the draft development. The document demands an obligatory age rating indication for production and distribution of all information products.

The senators considered also a block of international issues on April 21. Particularly, the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan was ratified. President Alexander Lukashenko paid the first official visit to Pakistan in May 2015. Many joint projects unite Belarus and Pakistan nowadays.

All our treaties with Pakistan and the laws we adopt are a significant breakthrough. Pakistan is the country where Belarus can develop its business and industry. There are the good climate and nice, positive, and warm attitude to Belarus.

The draft law on export control was discussed by the Council of the Republic, the upper chamber of Belarus’ National Assembly. The parliamentarians have amended the bill of public examinations organization and execution.
