Belarus, Tajikistan to discuss economic cooperation prospects

Belarus and Tajikistan will discuss prospects for economic cooperation. An intergovernmental commission, which will meet in Dushanbe April 25, will be searching for new paths for development of the bilateral partnership.

In addition, the parties plan to consider the implementation of joint projects in industrial cooperation and agriculture.

The commission will also focus on interaction in science and technology. Currently, Belarus is working in Tajikistan to create an assembly plant to produce mounted and trailed equipment. The sides are also studying possibilities of setting up a facility to assemble Belarusian tractors.
