President Lukashenko to address Belarusian people, Parliament on April 21

President Alexander Lukashenko on April 21 will deliver the State of the Nation address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly. The structure of the address will remain traditional. It will consist of a few large thematic blocks.

The economic topic is likely to dominate. Here, the President will outline tasks and objectives for 2016.

The most urgent issues in social policy are to be addressed by the head of state too. This is improvement of the pension system, health care and education.

In addition, attention will be paid to the foreign policy priorities of Belarus, personnel policy and other topical matters.

Belarusians:
I'm working at a state enterprise, so I would like some guarantee of stability, salary increases and welfare.

Something always changes in your life. I want pensioners to live better and the youth to be well-paid.

The address of the President will be broadcast live on the TV channel Belarus-1 and the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio.

The broadcast from the Oval Hall of the Government House will begin at 11:00 Belarus time.

The TV version of the address will be aired at 21:00 by all Belarusian TV channels.

Attending the event will be senior officials of the country, members of the government, heads of government agencies, large enterprises and representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media.
