Luminaries of world medicine gathered in Minsk for the first time 31 March. Eminent surgeons from Canada, Lithuania, Russia and Belarus arrived in the capital to present innovations in the field of cardiac and vascular surgery.
Doctors discussed vessel prosthetics and using of stem cells in the treatment of vascular diseases.
In addition to lectures and master-classes doctors did not miss an opportunity to communicate with each other and discuss ways of cooperation in the field of public health.

Now the development of cardiovascular surgery is very important. And in Belarus, relevant conditions have been created in this regard. In particular, I can say there is a beautiful Republican Cardiology Center and the Department of Surgery at the university.

In fact, I am very much impressed by what path Belarus has gone in the advancement of medical knowledge. I am very surprised by the high level of surgery. And I hope that the trend continues. It will progress and improve.
