Poland ready to reduce the cost of visas for Belarusians

Poland is ready to reduce the cost of visas for Belarusians. This issue was discussed by heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland is now on a visit to Minsk. It is planned that the simplification of the visa regime will contribute to the development of relations at the regional level, strengthen mutually beneficial economic and humanitarian ties. The sides also focused on the modernization of border infrastructure.

Witold Waszczykowski, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland:
We are talking about visa facilitation, about work of visa centers opened. We discussed the further development of this process, as well as a possible reduction in the cost of visas.    

Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus:
A significant number of the questions discussed concerns cross-border topics. We discussed the willingness to improve the legal framework in this area. In the near future, there will be appointed a co-chairman of the commission on the Belarusian side. And we hope that all the problems that exist today will soon be resolved.
