Barriers to EEU internal market to be discussed in Moscow March 17

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission on March 17 will discuss progress on the identification of barriers to the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The relevant meeting will be held in Russia's capital Moscow.

The program of the meeting will also deal with trade, financial policy, industry, and technical regulation. The sides will consider the formation of a single digital space.

It is expected that the relevant draft will be submitted to the consideration of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council until December 1.

Yuri Shevtsov, political analyst:
One of the main issues is the adoption of the program on the technical standards of the Eurasian Economic Union. The fact is that the old program was completed. There were 32 standards there. And now, within the next two years, we need to adopt further 25.
