European leaders approve road map for peace process in Syria

European leaders endorsed a road map for a peace process in Syria. The heads of the Great Britain, Germany, Russia and France agreed on the phone to provide humanitarian assistance in this state.

The politicians claim that every party to the conflict should maintain the ceasefire in Syria. And this, according to the peaceful settlement plan, may provide an opportunity to hold parliamentary elections in the country.

The ceasefire in Syria came into effect on the night of February 27. Nevertheless, it is frequently violated.

The representatives of the Syrian Arab Republic held a meeting at the Syrian Embassy in Minsk to support peace agreements. They hope for the restoration of security and stability in their home country.

Bassam Abdul Majid, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Belarus:
We know that Belarus contributed a lot to resolving the Ukrainian conflict. And the Belarusian authorities played a major role there. We would highly appreciate if your country participates in resolving the military conflict in Syria.
