Mona Lisa in Belarusian national dress by graphic artist Oleg Karpovich

Mona Lisa in a new image. The famous Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci has appeared before the public in Belarusian national embroidery! A portrait of the recognized beauty of the XVI century has been painted by the famous graphic artist Oleg Karpovich.

The master of the brush has managed to combine the Italian Renaissance painting with Belarusian identity. A linen shirt is adorned by red ornaments. While usually it's hard to look away from the eyes of the femme fatale, now there is another reason to look carefully at her image: the costume.

Meanwhile, this is not the only Mona Lisa in the artist's collection. Oleg Karpovich has a whole series of different Mona Lisas, of various ages and nationalities.

Oleg Karpovich, graphic artist:
What connects us with the Mona Lisa? It is obvious that the image itself (the mysterious, feminine, beautiful) connects us with Italy, with Leonardo da Vinci. All women are beautiful as Mona Lisas. All women in Italy, in Germany and of course in Belarus.
