Belarus third in world butter export rating

Belarus has taken third place in the world ranking of butter exporters. The 2015 leader of the ranking is still New Zealand, with 438,770 tons.

According to the EU's European Commission, according to the results of 2015, the Republic of Belarus pushed the USA in the butter export rating and took third place in the export of these products in the world, said Maria Klimova, Deputy Chief of the Food Department of the Ministry of Agriculture during the international seminar "Innovative technologies and equipment for the dairy industry," which was held in Minsk.

"In 2015, Belarus' export of butter rose by 28% and total exports amounted to 56,204 tons," said Mrs Klimova.

New Zealand remains the leader in butter export, with 438,770 tons, while the EU are in second, 174,026 tons. 4th place went to Australia (29,414 tons). The USA fell to 5th place, with a figure of 21,934 tons.
