Brest welcomes participants of January Music Evenings festival

The Culture Year in Belarus was opened with the 28th Festival of Classical Music January Music Nights. These days, Brest is hosting more than 300 musicians from 16 countries. Festival posters feature big names and young talents. At several venues of Brest, there will be performed masterpieces of Belarusian, Russian and Western music.

Lukasz Gayduchenya, participant of the festival (Poland):
To perform in front of such an audience, Brest audience, is a great achievement. Without a doubt this is one of the most important festivals in Belarus. Therefore, I think this is a very important festival.

Today, January 11, the festival will feature not classical music but jazz performances. A famous American jazz quartet will present the program "Harry Guttman - Anna Herman. Two music worlds."

Tomorrow, on the final day of the festival, in addition to a trio of Italian tenors, Mariinsky Theatre soloist Maria Maksakova will perform before the public.
