Review of Belarus' sports events (December 21-27)

HC Dinamo Minsk spend two games in the KHL. First, they visited Bratislava, where they played the fourth match of the season against Slovan. The White-Blues did not get anything from that game losing 2-4.

From the Slovak capital Dinamo headed for the Croatian main city but also lost. Andrei Kovalev's club twice led against Zagreb's Medveščak but lost in overtime 2-3.

Belarus U20 started the World Championship in Helsinki with two defeats.

Alexander Beliavsky's team first lost to hosts Finland with a bitter result 0-6.  The next day, on Saturday, Belarusians lost to Slovaks 2-4.  Belarus were ahead during the game but not everything went well at the end. In Group B Belarus will take on the Czech Republic and Russia.

Minsk's BC Tsmoki won on Wednesday the Belarus Cup confidently beating Mogilev's Borisfen away. On Saturday The Dragons they went to Krasnodar, where they met with the club Lokomotiv-Kuban in the VTB United League. That day was bad for the Belarusian side who lost with a difference of 30 points.

The Belarusian men's handball national team entered the final stage of preparation for the European Championships. It will be held in Poland in the second half of January.

Yuri Shevtsov's Belarusian handball team tested themselves at the Cup of the Riga City Council in the Latvian capital. Belarus won a difficult game against the hosts with a difference of 10 goals and completed the mini-tournament losing to Egypt on December 28.

At the European handball championship, Belarus will play in Group B together with Croatia, Iceland and Norway.
