New crossing point Peschatka opens on Belarusian-Polish border

A new crossing point, Peschatka, has opened on the Belarusian-Polish border. It has an international status. The capacity of the facility has more than doubled.

All this is thanks to the cutting-edge technologies helping deal with persons, goods and vehicles without paper documents. Special equipment registers vehicles' license plates. The project was implemented as part of cross-border cooperation between Belarus and the European Union.

Sergei Poluden, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus:
We understand that citizens need comfortable crossing of borders so that waiting times reduced. Accordingly, all our objectives are aimed at improving interaction between border services and, most importantly, make the passage of borders comfortable for individuals.
