Alexander Lukashenko taking part in CSTO meeting in Moscow

The President of Belarus has arrived on a working visit to the Russian Federation. The plane with the Belarusian head of state on board landed at the airport Vnukovo 2 December 21 morning.

In Moscow, Alexander Lukashenko will take part in two major meetings at the level of heads of state: the Council of Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The CSTO summit is set to deal with topical issues of international security and the possible steps to address them.

The meeting in the format of the EEU will focus on the activities of the Eurasian Economic Commission in the field of liberalization of road haulage, EEU cooperation with other international organizations and international associations.

The previous CSTO summit was held in Tajikistan in September 2015. Back then the leaders of the participating countries worked out lots of issues on the agenda but the terrorist threat became the central one. The Heads of State met in the framework of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Kazakhstan in October.
