Belarus MPs amend law on liability for breach of EEU technical regulations

Protect the domestic market from low-quality products. Belarusian MPs on 15 December in the first reading adopted amendments to the law on liability for breach of the technical regulations of the Customs and the Eurasian Economic Union.

While now the production or sale of products that do not meet these requirements entails a penalty of 100 base units, the amendment increases the upper limit to 200 units.

Eduard Senkevich, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus:
This is the unification of legislation, because we are in the common Customs Union and Russia and Kazakhstan already have such administrative responsibility. So now we need to harmonize our laws.
