Belarusians' best moments during 2014/15 biathlon season

During the previous biathlon season, representatives of the Belarusian national team made it to the podium 16 times. For sure, most of the awards were won thanks to Darya Domracheva. She has exactly 75% of all the top places of the Belarusian team.

Some of the stages were especially successful for Belarusian shooting skiers. German biathlon earth is traditionally hospitable for Belarusians. At the fifth stage of the World Cup in Ruhpolding, the women's relay team took 2nd place losing only to the Czechs. Darya Domracheva took silver in the sprint and gold in the mass start.

In the Italian municipality of Antholz, the Belarusian national team’s leader was equal to none: a triumph in the sprint and the pursuit.

The Slovenian Pokljuka turned out also to be successful, too: Darya Domracheva won the pursuit and Nadezhda Skardino, bronze medalist of the 2014 Olympics, was third in the mass start.

But the most successful for the Belarusian national team last season were the German Oberhof and the Russian Khanty-Mansiysk.

At the fourth stage in Germany, the women's relay team won bronze, and four biathletes entered the top 30 in the women's sprint. In regards to the men, Chepelin took 18th place, and Yuryi Liadov got into an elite group of participants in the mass start for the first time.

In Khanty-Mansiysk, both Belarusian teams showed good results and the women's team entered the top 35 in the sprint.

We'll see what stages of the current World Cup will be successful for Belarusians and how welcoming the German Oberhof and Ruhpolding will be this season.
