Minsk-Kiev: Belavia opens additional flights

A new flight has connected Kiev and Minsk. The Belarusian national air carrier began to operate flights in this direction three times a day instead of two. Previously, all the aircrafts landed in Boryspil International Airport, but now they head for Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany), which is closer to the centre of the city.

The aircraft carries about 60 passengers. A Minsk-Kyiv flight takes 50 minutes.

Yevgeny Romanov, passenger (Russia):
I liked that the baggage was delivered from Moscow directly to Kyiv via Minsk. No more worries about whether the services will have enough time to transship it. Customs control is quick and convenient.

10 years ago Minsk-Kyiv flights were made only 3 times a week but now Belavia operates 3 flights a day. That is, it transports about 600 passengers in one direction. Moreover, the new flight Minsk-Kyiv lands right in Kyiv’s center.

In the near future, it is planned to open a fourth flight between Minsk and Kiev.

Kharkov will also become closer to Minsk. The Belarusian airline will open a flight to one of the largest cities in Ukraine on December 17. Furthermore, in the summer of 2016, the air fleet will be replenished with three new Boeings.

Igor Cherginets, Belavia Belarusian Airlines Deputy Director General:
For the first time we will have new Boeings from the maker. Big aircrafts mean big plans.
