The dairy industry of Sakhalin Island will be developing with the help of Belarusian technologies. Leonid Zayats, Belarusian Minister of Agriculture and Food, made the statement during the visit of a Belarusian delegation to Sakhalin, Russia. Belarusian products are in high demand in the Russian Federation.
Sakhalin’s meat and dairy producers are considering the creation of joint ventures and supply of Belarusian products for further processing on Sakhalin. The Belarusian side has received an invitation to participate in road and housing construction. Sakhalin also plans to buy in Belarus buses and cars for its utilities sector.
Oleg Kozhemyako, the governor of Sakhalin Oblast, during his last visit to Belarus, signed an agreement concerning commercial, economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation.
