Lilia Ananich: Media found materials and stories that extensively showed voters how much Belarus did in the previous period

Presidential elections in Belarus are covered by nearly a thousand journalists. The Central Election Commission has organized an information center in the Palace of the Republic in order to receive the most up-to-date information.

Julio Mejías, a journalist of the agency Prensa Latina (Cuba):
I think it's very important for Belarusians - to make the right choice. Future depends on it. The turnout of over 80% in the country is the best demonstration of democratic elections. People vote for the future, for a stable economic situation, for social and cultural development of the country.

Lilia Ananich, Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus:
The role of the media was, first of all, to do everything possible to ensure the maximum participation of every citizen of the Republic of Belarus in the elections because the vote of each citizen determined the overall outcome of the results of the election campaign. And media coped with this role well. Extensive information work was not only in social commercials about the elections. The media found materials and stories that extensively showed citizens how much Belarus did in the previous period.
