The Belarusian football championship, the Highest League, is about to end. FC BATE will for sure secure their first place and another title, not everything is that clear with Dinamo Minsk, Shakhtyor and FC Minsk. The previous two are traditional contenders for a place on the podium but FC Minsk is like a dark horse here.

FC Minsk coach, Andrei Pyshnik, told the CTV that they have a squad that includes players of all ages, a mixture of young energy and experience.

Young players are a hope of FC Minsk. Andrei Pyshnik’s squad policy is the following: those who do well during training will be fielded, even if he is 16, 17 or 22.

Teamwork is the strongest point of FC Minsk. Andrei Pyshnik refused to tell the CTV who is the best.

Asked about FC Minsk’s best striker Vladimir Khvashchinsky, Pyshnik said Vladimir needs his own team and own coach and FC Minsk is exactly where the striker feels comfortable.

The task for the finish of the championship is to achieve as high place as possible. Andrei Pyshnik says that the Olympic principle “participation is important in itself” does not suit the team.
