Belarus Armed Forces Ensemble returns from France tour

Belarusian marches sounded in France. The ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus has returned from a tour of the city that was glorified by Alexandre Dumas. Here the collective performed at the festival on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation from Nazi invaders Bethune.

Belarusians know the city of Bethune thanks to works by Dumas. Now the French do not miss an opportunity to get familiar with Belarusian art. And judging by the sellouts at concerts of the Belarusian Armed Forces ensemble these cultural bridges, which are growing stronger, will form the basis for future cooperation in various spheres.

At Bethune Municipal Theatre, Belarusian national flavor is felt at the door. Spectators carry not only bright impressions but also Belarusian souvenirs. In the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the ensemble gave seven concerts. French performances are always sellouts.

We are happy to come to the concert; it is very interesting to listen to Belarusian music.

The performance of the Belarusian team at Bethune was timed to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the city.

Head of the friendship group "France-Belarus" in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais:
The best means of uniting peoples is music. I am a passionate advocate of Belarusian music and I invite here not only military bands. Your country has many interesting and talented teams. We welcomed here Kupalinka and Suzorje as well as many others.

Mayor of Bethune handed Belarusian Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko the diploma of the honorary citizen of the city.

Pavel Latushko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the French Republic:
Over the last two years our Days of Culture have been held in over 40 cities, with over 250,000 spectators visiting our concerts. They better understood Belarus and have better knowledge about our country.

Olivier Gacquerre, Bethune Mayor (France):
Our region is known for its special attitude to music. Therefore, we especially warmly welcomed Belarusian teams. In addition, we are interested in the development of economic cooperation and hope to establish the relationship between French and Belarusian lyceums.

Vladimir Nikolaev, artistic director of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus:
We reached their hearts, because our culture and creativity - this is all based only on the national culture. Therefore, for them it is a new discovery. At the same time we use our talent and professionalism to show how Belarusians love art, what wonderful songs they write, what dances create. And all this creates the image of our country.

The Belarusian language, as well as French, is considered one of the most melodious in the world. Judging by the spectators' reaction, the artists have fulfilled their task: to reach the hearts of the French public without translation.
