Belarus' Victoria Azarenka to take on Lucie Hradecka in first match of 2015 US Open

Before the start of the US Open tennis Belarusian Victoria Azarenka remains in 20th place in the world rankings. Now she has 2,271 points.

Two other Belarusians also remained in the same positions - Olga Govortsova is in 69th (848 points) while Alexandra Sasnovich is 188th with 496 points.

In the opening match of the US Open in New York Victoria Azarenka will meet with Czech tennis player Lucie Hradecká (WTA No.56). Olga Govortsova will compete with Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu (28) while Alexandra Sasnovich (118), who has successfully qualified for the main draw, will play German Sabine Lisicki (24).

The first main draw matches will be held today and the final will take place on September 13. This year the total prize fund of US Open will be $42.3 million. The winners in the men's and women's singles will receive $3.3 million while the finalists will become $1.6 million richer.
