Belarus takes third place at First Army Games in Russia

Belarus is one of the three leaders in the first Army Games in Russia. According to the results of the international tournament, the Belarusian military took third place in the team event, winning 3 gold, 50 silver and 249 bronze medals. The best results were shown by Belarusian mortar gunners, who lost to the winners just a minute.

Overall, 2000 soldiers from 17 countries fought for the title of best in the land, water and air.

The teams competed in artillery fire, intelligence, tank biathlon, air-darts and even military cooking skills. Taking part in the event were 250 Belarusians, who showed decent results.

For the country, for the Armed Forces, of course, the international level of these competitions is important. And it should be understood that any competition can improve the quality and combat readiness as well as find new approaches to the organization combat exercises and identify drawbacks in our preparation. I think the very fact of participation in these competitions will have a positive impact on our work to further improve the combat readiness of the Armed Forces.

The Army games will be held next year too. Russia will again host them. In the following years, the competition will be hosted be a number of other countries. In particular, Belarus is ready to host on its territory two competitions - tank biathlon and air darts.
