Belarus enacts new version of state border law

The new version of the law on the state border came in force in Belarus. The main changes affected border zones. In particular, at the entrance to it is necessarily necessary to have a passport or other identity document. Representatives of children under 14 years must present a birth certificate.

Unattended vehicles left in the border zone (outside settlements) will be evacuated. The new law prohibits to abandon vehicles without notifying the frontier service.

Also, now customs officials acquire the right to draw up reports and consider cases on administrative offenses. For example, they can punish you for money left in the documents. For such "forgetfulness" one can face a fine of up to 100 base amounts.
