Belarus, Moldova hold meeting of intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation

In anticipation of the visit of the Moldovan president, Minsk hosted a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation between Belarus and Moldova. The parties discussed the possibility of establishing joint ventures, cooperation in transport, construction and energy sectors. 

It has been stated about plans to bring mutual trade turnover in the near future to half a billion dollars.

Mikhail Rusyi, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
We talked not only the economy. This was also about humanitarian, and cultural and physical education and sports. We also discussed the participation of Moldova in "Slavonic Bazaar". The Ministry of Culture has made a proposal.We agreed that the Days of Culture of Belarus in Moldova will be held in late September-early October. In 2016, the Republic of Moldova will hold these days in Belarus.

On July 16, specific projects will be discussed at an economic forum. Businessmen of the two countries will become familiar with export potential of Moldova and peculiarities of doing business in Belarus, the nuances of customs regulations and conditions of bilateral trade.
