Alexander Oleshko: Slavic Bazaar is one of the most honest, bright and real festivals

The Vitebsk festival welcomes visitors of Slavonic Bazaar. At this year's International Cultural Forum 42 states will take part. The flags of the participating countries have been raised near the Summer Amphitheatre.

There was held a solo concert of Grigory Leps and a show of the famous Russian artist Alexander Oleshko.

Alexander Oleshko, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, showman:
This is one of the most honest, bright and real festivals. This is not my first time here, and I can see how it all develops. Even the infrastructure around: amazing alley, lights, and trees. And with trees, talents are growing. Not only in Belarus, but in many countries that send their contestants to Vitebsk. Let alone programs that are presented by a variety of artists from Russia and beyond. This is an amazing thing when your show is sold out and you are on stage and you meet the dawn, when the night ends with a concert. That is the very real friendship bridge. It's great that Belarus is a bridge of friendship, and we see real, pure, good, bright people, which is a rarity on the planet now.

The opening ceremony of the Festival of Arts will take place tomorrow, on July 9, and today artists from China will present the exhibition "Art of China" in the Vitebsk town hall. The concerts of Valery Meladze and Irina Allegrova will be held on the main festival stage.
