Belarus to host 2015 FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships in August

3x3 basketball: What is it and why is it more interesting than classic basketball?

In August, Belarus will host the 2015 FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships. In this regard, interest in this sport is increasing more and more.

The event will take place 21-23 August 2015 at the Sports Palace.

There is a special basketball ground near the Sports Palace called Palova Arena (in English: Half Arena), which is now full of basketball enthusiasts.

Anyone who loves basketball but cannot become a professional can just take a ball, call friends and play!

The rules are different from those used in the official version of basketball: the match is 10 minutes long. Alternatively the game ends when a team earns 21 points.

Less tactics, more passion. 3x3 basketball pays less attention to tactics and more to pace and agility.

3x3 basketball is a tougher sport than ordinary basketball.

The amateur 3x3 basketball league has recently opened in Minsk and already attracts a lot of young people. The best of them will get into the Belarusian 3x3 basketball team and represent the country at the 2015 FIBA 3x3 U18 European Championships.
