New open-air exhibitions turn Minsk into single cultural space

Jazz evenings at the Town Hall and an open-air gallery. In the summer, Minsk turns into a great cultural space. How to join the beautiful for free?

Minskers like the exhibition of contemporary art on the fence of Chelyuskintsev Park. This summer, the audience will experience the atmosphere of Niasvizh Castle and enjoy its interiors.

From Babylon towers and old beehives to a switch and a big red spectacular clothespin. The island on Komsomolskoye Lake this year turned into an amazing cultural venue. The exposition of the many-dimensional objects from famous Belarusian artists captivates at first sight.

This is a true firework of ideas and forms. The exhibitions is of a big format not only artistically, but also from a technical point of view. The total weight of items exceeds 20 tonnes.

Yakub Kolas Square in the center of Minsk hosts the fourth exposition of the project "Artist and the City." This time, the exhibition is devoted to the work of an outstanding painter, graphic artist, an illustrator, an innovator - Nikolai Seleshchuk. He is the founder of ethno-surrealism - a unique style of art, which combines the achievements of European surrealism and Belarusian ethno elements.

Nikolai Seleshchuk:
I am captivated by the charm of reality itself! Themes should be global. A person must be regarded as a kind of secret. We must believe in his power and spirit of responsibility for everything that it leaves on the earth...

Open-air exhibitions will please Minsk residents and tourists all summer.  The street format becomes more popular and convinces that contemporary art is interesting not only to artists but also to the general public. The more inspired spectators, the more festive is our city.
