Belarus commemorates June 22 - anniversary of Great Patriotic War beginning

On June 22 Belarus marks Day of National Mourning and Remembrance of the victims of the Great Patriotic War. Early in the morning, mourning rallies were held across Belarus.

This is exactly the time in the early morning when the war started in Belarus.

Brest was among the first cities who had to repel attacks of mighty Nazi troops.

Officers, cadets and young people observed a minute of silence in memory of the fallen heroes at the Victory Square in Minsk and laid wreaths at the memorial.
