Belarus into second stage of EuroBasket Women 2015

The women's national basketball team of Belarus, after victories over Italy and Poland, won in their third match in a row at the European Championship, beating one of the favorites of the tournament Turkey in the Romanian town of Oradea.

Suffice it to say that Turkey took medals from two previous Euros silver in 2011 and bronze in 2013. At the World Championships in 2014 the Turkish team took 4th place, and were 5th at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Belarus v Turkey 67:52 (15:13, 11:8, 25:17, 16:14)

The most productive in the Belarusian team were Yelena Levchenko (15 points), Yekaterina Snytina (14), Lindsey Harding (13) and Anastasia Veremeyenko (10).

Thus, with three wins, the Belarusians are in the lead in group B one matchday prior to the finish of the group stage.

Belarus have already guaranteed a pass into the second stage, where the top three teams will enter.

The team of manager Anatoly Buyalsky will step into the next round with at least one victory.

Today, our group another match was held. Greece won against Poland 59:50, which is their second victory at this Euro. Poland have not won any of their three games so far.
