30,000 Belarusian students get jobs in summer work brigades

About 30,000 young people this summer will earn money in students' work brigades. The average salary there is about Br5 million.

This kind of job is usually offered by universities across the country. Students can try their hand as construction workers, teachers and farmers.

Yevgeny Kharuk, chairman of the Student Assembly of the Belarusian State University:
This is of course a good help for students in financial terms, this is money after all. Not every student can earn in the summer to buy clothing or some necessary things. Two years ago we employed 900-1,000 people, last year the figure was 1,200-1,300 people. We hope this year for more than 1,300 students. Especially because this year we start in June.

Also, students will be able to earn in the service sector and pedagogical groups in Spain, Poland and Bulgaria.
