Belarusian cuisine week starts in Minsk June 8

On June 8, the week of Belarusian cuisine starts in Minsk. Over 100 restaurants and cafes offer their guests dishes based on traditional recipes. 

Among the dishes on offer is fish in melted butter, dumplings made of unleavened dough and stuffed with meat, sorrel soup and cranberry juice.

The menu was made in advance and in accordance with the rules of the campaign, all participants must adhere to common formulas and prices. This is not the first such attempt to promote the national cuisine. 

For the first time, the campaign aiming to promote Belarusian cuisine took place in the autumn of 2013.
