Composers, writers to compete for Union State Prize in Literature and Art

Composers, conductor and writers are going to compete for the Union State Prize in Literature and Art. 

All in all, six nominees have been proposed this year. Among them is the creative team of authors who created a monument to Patriarch Alexy II. The monument was installed at the Cathedral of All Saints in Minsk.

Among the contenders, the advisory council will choose three winners whose names will be announced at the international arts festival "Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk".

Irina Driga, co-chair of the Expert Council of the Union State Prize, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus:
We nominated works that make a significant contribution to strengthening the relations of brotherhood, friendship and cultural cooperation between the participating States of the Union State - Belarus and Russia. This year, representatives of musical art really proved their talent. The works are distinguished primarily by their level. They are real stars: Igor Luchenok Anatoly Yarmolenko, Vladimir Fedoseyev, and Oleg Ivanov. These are really bring and outstanding persons.
