Alexander Lukashenko: I believe that stability in Ukraine is impossible without USA

The President of Belarus gave an exclusive interview to the media holding Bloomberg March 31. The leading correspondent Ryan Chilcote arrived in Minsk from London.

Mr Chilcote already talked to Alexander Lukashenko 14 years ago when he worked for CNN. During the communication, a variety of topics have been touched upon. In particular, they talked about the prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was launched on January 1, 2015.

The head of state also answered a few questions of a personal nature. In addition, the sides touched upon the situation in Ukraine after the meeting of the "Normandy Quartet" in Minsk and the maintenance of military and political stability in the world.

Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus President:
Most of all I am concerned about the fact that the USA was not involved in the Minsk agreements. I believe that without Americans, no stability is possible in Ukraine. I met recently with officials from the United States and emphasized that I do not know what Americans want here in Eastern Europe, in Ukraine, in particular. But if Americans want peace and stability here it is very important that they be involved in this process.

The head office of the media holding Bloomberg is located in New York. This company was founded over 30 years ago. And today it is one of the leading sources in the supply of financial information and economic analysis. The holding's news is broadcast in two hundred countries.
