Belarusians bag 5 medals at European Cup Winter Throwing in Portugal

The European Cup Winter Throwing finished in Portugal's Leiria. On the final day of the tournament, Belarusian athletes added two awards to the three medals won on the first day of competition. Elena Soboleva won first place in the women's U23 setting a personal record. Alexander Kozlovsky scooped bronze in the U23 javelin.

All in all, Belarus won five medals at the European Cup Winter Throwing.   

In the women’s U23 shot, Viktoryia Kolb was third. Silver went to Yury Vasilchanka in the men’s U23 hammer.

Earlier Yulia Leantsiuk was second to none in the women’s shot. Yury Shayunou, in the men’s hammer, missed out on the bronze medal finishing in fourth.
