Belarus' Domracheva wins small crystal globe in sprint

On March 8, the pursuit races will be held at the Biathlon World Championships.

Yuri Liadov has the most favorable starting position of all Belarusians in the men's event. The sportsman took sixteenth place yesterday in the sprint, losing to the leader almost a minute. Women will compete in the evening.

Yesterday, in the sprint, leaders of the overall World Cup standings led by Belarusian Darya Domracheva stayed in the shadow.

However, the three-time Olympic champion has already won the small crystal globe in the sprint standings.

Domrachava is 64 points ahead of the rival Kaisa Mäkäräinen. The World Cup features only one more sprint - at the stage in Khanty-Mansiysk. For a win, an athlete receives only 60 points.
